'Boobs and Brass'

Supported by First Choice Holidays

Northamptonshire's First ALL Female Brass Band!

An Evening at the Proms.

Held at St. Peter's Church, Midland Road, RUSHDEN at 7.30pm, 26th January 2008 - featuring the Alfred Street Junior School Choir.

This event was, once again, organised by Sarah Bates to support Glennis Hooper's 'Crazy Hats Appeal'. This charity has now raised almost £500,000 for Breast Cancer care in Northamptonshire.

If you would like to find out more about the 'Crazy Hats' please go to our Links page.

Boobs and Brass were conducted by honorary 'Boob' Jonathan Mott and the Alfred Street Junior School Choir were lead by Mrs Lucy Taylor. Again, our compére for the evening was local actor Mr Anthony Higgins - if you go to our Players link you can find out more about him!

We were lucky to have two soloists for the evening. Mairi Addy played her accordion with the dancers AND the Pink Panther managed (again) to get in on the act - much to the enjoyment of all!

Boobs & Brass have been 'kitted out' with a complete set of pink music stands - which were first used at this concert.

The stands have been donated to the band by Kay Hollingsworth and Jupiter Music/Korg UK (Milton Keynes).

...the photographs...

The Pink Panther salutes the audience...

...and shakes the M.D's hand!

Some of the Alfred Street Junior School Choir - suitably attired in 'pink' - even the solitary boy!, tho' I think it's quite fashionable at the moment.

Sarah makes the many 'thank-yous' - while Lucy looks on.

...Now (thanks to Peter Vine) - Pink Panther VIDEO!!

Obviously, Sarah had to thank a great many people - but it was all, very much, worth it as the event raised a MASSIVE...

£1700.00!

Well done to Everyone!
