This event was
organised by Sarah Bates to support Glennis Hooper's 'Crazy Hats Appeal'. In 5
years this charity has raised £340,000 for Breast Cancer care in
Northamptonshire. If you would like to find out more about the 'Crazy Hats'
please go to our
Links page.
Boobs and Brass were
conducted by honorary 'Boob' Peter Vine and the

The band and choir played to a full house, a fact that was
all the more remarkable as top bands - the Virtuosi G.U.S. Band and the Grimethorpe
Colliery Band - were also playing locally the same evening.
£1450 was raised for the 'Crazy hats' - thank
you to everyone for your support.
In addition,
Boobs and Brass would like to thank
Hilary Mateer who played BBb Bass. We are looking
for 'gels' to strengthen our line up - so Marion (Vine)
posted a message on 'The Mouthpiece'. As a result Hilary (who plays for Strata
Brass) got in touch and travelled all the way from DONCASTER to play.
On that subject, If you, or anyone you know, want to become involved in Boobs and
Brass (and you fit OUR criteria), please use our Contacts page - and get in
touch.
We also thank Alan Nichols - who became
another honorary 'Boob' - as he played Bass Trombone as Jo
Bird has just had a baby.
Also, please go to the
Gallery page to see a 'cheque' presentation photo'.
